BRIEF : To meet the demands on Cornwall's new tourism economy, one of many sites is being considered for transition from a less profitable and non-sustainable industry use that scars landscapes to a more appropriate and adaptable experience location. The is an open cast mine on the edge of Penryn that will house a new pinnacle building, a signifier of change of position of this scheme - together with an observation platform.
This must be a self-sustaining building – at least zero carbon, a building that is resistant to cold/weather/ heat/wind, a building that fundamentally addresses the concerns of the Climate Emergency, and a Low maintenance and sustainable systems integrated through the proposal
